PRIVACY NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to Articles 12, 13 and following of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR")
1. Data Controller
K LABS S.R.L. (hereinafter "K LABS" or the "Controller"), with registered office at Via Emilio Salgari 17, 41123 Modena (MO), Italy, is the data controller of the personal data collected through the website https://www.klabs.it (hereinafter the "Site"), as well as in connection with the provision of technical and professional training services.

K LABS reserves the right to update or amend this notice at any time, depending on regulatory, organisational or technological changes. Updated versions will be published on the Site.
2. Types of data processed
a) Browsing data
The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the Site acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
These include:
- IP addresses;
- domain names of the devices used;
- URIs of the requested resources;
- date and time of requests;
- request method to the server;
- size of transmitted files;
- status of server responses;
- information relating to the operating system and browser used.
Such data are processed exclusively to ensure the proper functioning of the Site, for statistical purposes in aggregated and anonymous form, and for the security of IT infrastructures.
b) Data voluntarily provided by the user
By filling in the forms on the Site, enrolling in courses, or contacting us directly by email or phone, the following may be collected:
- first and last name;
- company/organisation;
- job title;
- email address;
- phone number;
- information necessary for enrolment and participation in training courses;
K LABS does not request or intentionally process special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 GDPR (such as health, biometric, religious or trade-union data), except where required by law or due to specific duly justified needs.
c) Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses technical cookies and, where required subject to consent, analytical and profiling cookies.

3. Purposes of processing and legal bases
Personal data are processed for the following purposes:
a) Handling requests and providing training services
By way of example:
- handling requests for information;
- course enrolment;
- planning and organising training activities;
- issuing certificates, certifications and training documentation;
- administrative and accounting management;
- support before, during and after the course;
- fulfilment of contractual obligations.
Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and compliance with legal obligations pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
b) Sending informational and marketing communications
Subject to the data subject's consent, K LABS may send:
- newsletters;
- updates on courses and events;
- commercial communications;
- promotional material;
- invitations to webinars and training initiatives;
- satisfaction surveys and market research.
Communications may be carried out via email, phone, instant messaging or other electronic tools.
Legal basis: the data subject's consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. Nature of providing data
Providing the data necessary for the purposes referred to in point 3.a is mandatory.
Failure to provide such data may prevent K LABS from providing the requested service.
Providing data for marketing purposes is optional and subject to the data subject's consent.
5. Processing methods and data retention
Personal data are processed using electronic and paper-based tools, adopting appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure security, confidentiality and integrity.
No automated decision-making processes are carried out that produce significant legal effects on data subjects.
Data will be retained:
- for the entire duration of the contractual and training relationship;
- for the time necessary to meet tax, accounting and regulatory obligations;
- until consent is withdrawn for marketing activities;
- in any case, for the time strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
6. Disclosure of data
Personal data may be disclosed to:
- tax, legal and administrative consultants;
- IT, hosting and cloud service providers;
- certification bodies or accredited training organisations;
- teachers, tutors and collaborators involved in delivering the courses;
- payment institutions;
- public authorities and supervisory bodies where required by law.
Entities that process data on behalf of the Controller act as Data Processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Data will not be made public.
7. Transfer of personal data
Personal data may be processed within the European Union.
8. Data subject rights
The data subject may exercise at any time the rights provided for in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, including:
- right of access;
- right to rectification;
- right to erasure;
- right to restriction of processing;
- right to data portability;
- right to object to processing;
- right to withdraw consent;
- right not to be subject to automated decisions.
