OBJECTIVES
This course provides information about the message structure of SIGTRAN protocols, the SIGTRAN network architecture and its configuration. The high reliability of SS#7 protocols led to their adaptation over the new IP stack: thanks to the SIGTRAN protocol it is possible to obtain the exchange of SS#7 signaling messages over the modern IP based telecommunications networks. SCTP, M2PA and M3UA protocols will be analyzed with particular focus.

PREREQUISITES
ITU signaling protocols for access and core network good understanding.
