OBJECTIVES
The course provides participants with the knowledge on the SDH transport network technique. It describes the structure and functionality of the STM-N line signals and also PDH, ATM, Ethernet and IP mapping in Virtual Container structures for their transport on the SDH network. SNCP & MSP protections and SDH network elements are described. Particular attention is dedicated to the new generation of Ethernet over SDH transport, with point-to-point and point-to-multipoint services.
